Tracy Richardson, D.P.T.

Education
Tracy earned both her bachelor’s degree and doctorate in physical therapy from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. She brings twenty years of experience to the rehabilitation team at MOI, where she also serves as the Center Coordinator for Clinical Education. She specializes in student education and ASTYM (Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization).

On mentoring physical therapy students
I always wanted to be a teacher. Mentoring students in this field is gratifying because I’m educating them, and together we are teaching the patient how to regain strength and mobility.

On her philosophy of care
I believe in treating the whole person, individualizing the plan of care. As a therapist, it’s my job to take an interest in the patient’s hobbies and what their goals are, because the work is just too hard on them for me to be detached. It takes complete focus and engagement from both patient and therapist in order to achieve success.
